Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in an LA Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a traffic collision in California he was 55 years old.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The renowned game designer lost his life when his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"This is a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to his family and friends, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
