Soccer Analyst Sutton Battles Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions
Arsenal's 10-game victorious run was ended by Sunderland prior to the global break, but will the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?
"{I feel like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.
"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."
Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of special visitors.
For week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.
Murs' new album, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.
Soccer and Parenting Experiences
Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid games over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.
"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!
"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.
"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."
The singer and his spouse his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is ready to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.
"I won't push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer team," he said.
"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a period too.
"My dad did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

- Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT
The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.
In my opinion this game will be quite tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.
This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.
Sutton's prediction: 1-2
The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3
Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2
- Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT
Bournemouth have lost their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which shocked me.
On the other hand, West Ham secured two in a row before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.
West Ham's only on the road win this season came at Forest in August, when West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.
So, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers continuing their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?
I will go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.
The pundit's prediction: 2-0
Olly's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2
AI's prediction: 1-1
- Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT
The Bees were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season started, but they have impressed a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four matches.
A family member advised me to select Bees forward Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.
Thiago will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support Brentford at Brighton's ground.
They have not had great success on the road this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.
Sutton's forecast: 2-1
Olly's view: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1
AI's prediction: 2-1
- Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT
It is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.
They have have plenty of talent in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a drop zone battle.
Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.
Their display in the 2-2 draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.
The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing Fulham up too and, the last time they were in west London, they defeated the Blues at the close of October.
But I am not choose that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they clearly love to prove me wrong.
Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage form, the sole side they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive result, so I am going to predict they will pick up three points.
Sutton's forecast: 1-0
Olly's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a bad streak... but they have nonetheless been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0
The algorithm's prediction: 2-0
- Anfield, 15:00 GMT
It is a tough one to call. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
