In the fiercely contested world of video games, it's typical for fresh competitors to fade away as rapidly as they explode onto the scene.
However Battlefield 6 is striving to shift that dynamic.

"We probably would find it impossible to create and produce this new game absent the learnings we acquired in the previous title," the manager shares with our team.
Among those insights was to get fans engaged soon, and the developers started invite-only fan playtests not long ago.
The "reaction was extremely positive," says she.
One more omitted element from the last game was a story mode, which has been reintroduced for this release.
The Guildford team design director the design director is the one responsible for "ensuring those levels are as entertaining and engaging as feasible for the gamers."
In spite of allegations that the scope of the title had challenged the different developers partnering globally to create the title, he is upbeat about the endeavor.
"Collaborating with diverse perspectives, varied heritages, it's a really engaging atmosphere to be part of every day," he shares.
"This whole approach has been a fresh take but something very exciting because we are working with individuals from all over the world."
As for the anticipation on the crew, he comments: "We feel demand but at the same time it's motivating.
"It's a large project. It's likely the largest that many of us have before worked on."
New Artist Adds New View
That's certainly correct of no less than one developer, lighting artist Vlad Kokhan.
The 21-year-old produces the atmospheric effects that shape the mood, style, and focus of the single-player campaign.
Vlad finished an work placement at the developer before getting a role at the company, and now operates on a part-time basis while finishing his digital arts degree at his school.
Vlad explains he's a dedicated enthusiast of the Battlefield series, and remembers enjoying the previous game of the series at a pal's home when he was younger.

"It's very incredible witnessing the marketing all around," he says.
"To know that I have added my own thing into the game is really unbelievable."
